Tiger lotus is just a beautiful plant with reddish-green to deep red leaves that have darker spots that are often purplish in color. When given medium light and plenty of nutrients, this plant will thrive. As it grows, tiger lotus plants will display its large leaves below the surface of the water while simultaneously sending lily pads up to reach the surface. It does well as a midground to background plant, but because it is so impactful, it can make a great standalone plant as well.

Arrived without any death leaves . I usually cut the bottom of the pot and put it upside down for a few weeks so it can take root undisturbed by my geophagus
Like all my other reviews in this order, it came with everything but the roots looking unwell. Luckily this one is a bulb and has one good leaf so should. Be OK.

Nothing but positive feedback for the plant I received!!! I live all the way across the country, and received my tiger lotus bulb only 3 days after ordering. The bulb was packed so well, with a free heating pack and made it to our chilly late winter temps in the Northeast with no issues or damage whatsoever. The bulb I received had 4 leaves on it on arrival, and after a week in my no-CO2 tank, has already put out two gorgeous new ones! While I love and appreciate my LFS, they have only ever carried very, very sad tiger lotus bulbs. This is now my go to shop for this particular plant. Phenomenal!

I bought two of these, one was the red variety, the other is a green/red variegated one. Both had nice leaves with roots so I separated them from the bulb, planted the roots and placed the bulbs elsewhere in the tank. This is one of my favorite plants to propogate.
Plants are carefully packaged and always arrive in healthy condition.
