  • Colorful, patterned leaves
  • Grows lily pads
  • Medium light

Tiger lotus is just a beautiful plant with reddish-green to deep red leaves that have darker spots that are often purplish in color. When given medium light and plenty of nutrients, this plant will thrive. As it grows, tiger lotus plants will display its large leaves below the surface of the water while simultaneously sending lily pads up to reach the surface. It does well as a midground to background plant, but because it is so impactful, it can make a great standalone plant as well.

Better than expected

Arrived without any death leaves . I usually cut the bottom of the pot and put it upside down for a few weeks so it can take root undisturbed by my geophagus

So far so good

Plant arrived in great shape. Been a week and no loss of leaves. Time will tell if it takes off. Most plants in my aquarium setup take off.

Beware. Not for smaller aquariums.

Beautiful plant. I have a 20 gallon long aquarium with nutrient substrate and co2 injection and the bulb did very well, in fact it did a little too well. I was getting 1-2 shoots a day and had to trim it back often. Which wasn't a problem until I realized that its roots had completely taken over and was sprouting lilies even on the other side of my tank. My amazon swords were suffering because their roots were so entwined and even since I have removed it, I am battling brown algae from an imbalance of nutrients because there are decaying roots in my substrate still, even though I had removed as much as I could. My betta fish Clark however, loved to nap on them.

Arrived in good shape. Took a little for it to start growing.

Easy, beautiful plant

I'm trying to get an overgrown look to my aquarium and decided to go back to this gorgeous plant. Couldn't be happier with it. My package was originally delivered to the wrong address, and after a few days ACO sent a replacement for all the items that were lost. When the original package finally arrived, I offered to pay for some of the items but customer service insisted that I keep everything at no extra charge. This level of customer service is so hard to find nowadays. This is why I'll be a loyal customer.

Definitely smaller plant than I was expecting, but the bulb is growing roots and fresh stems after being planted in my tank. I’m hopeful this will be a lovely addition to my aquascape!

Tiger Lotus

My Tiger Lotus did not grow at all. I was hoping it would be my centerpiece plant.

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! Tiger lotus!

This is my absolute favorite in beginner plants. They are so easy, so resilient and by far the most colorful you can get in a low tech set up.

Great color!

Ordered two of these, one came in detached for the bulb. I planted the top and it didn’t make it. The bulb started to grow another plant with in 3-4 days!
