These strips are a quick and easy way to get a quick read on water quality in your aquarium. They can be cut in half for even greater value. The only issue is a false chlorine read under sunlight- bring that tub water inside to test!

Easy & Accurate
I tested these in my three tanks against the API test kit and the readings essentially matched wherever they were measuring the same thing. I am very pleased with the time saved on regular testing!
The only complaint I have is a very minor one since my tanks are cycled and seasoned: the test strips test chlorine and do not test ammonia. I am not sure whether the chlorine reading can be trusted with municipalities that use chloramines instead — but next time I test my tap water I will probably use both kits again to see how the residual ammonia levels compare to the chlorine reading on the test strip.
Anyway, these are the best strips I have seen for testing almost all normal parameters in tanks and I will definitely buy them again!

Pro Tip; I saw one of Cory’s YouTube shorts, Oct 19 2024 “Save money double your test strips” and he said you can cut them in half to double your test strips, and they still work.
