Hygrophila pinnatifida is a favorite plant commonly used in aquascaping and high tech aquariums. Its narrow, serrated leaves change from green to red under stronger lighting. It also has the unique flexibility to grow it either in the substrate or attached to rock or driftwood. This stem plant has a moderate growth rate and generally reaches 6–16 inches (15–40 cm) tall and 4–8 inches (10–20 cm) wide.
100% Free of Pests
Tissue culture plants are "lab-grown" at the farms by taking a tissue sample from an existing plant and growing it in a sterile nutrient medium. While tissue culture plants tend to be smaller and more expensive than potted plants, they are 100% free of snails, algae, and duckweed.
We Include Heat Packs and Liners Free of Charge
We have a custom-developed algorithm to include heat packs and insulating plant liners as needed, based on the weather forecast from our warehouse to your shipping address. This helps keep plants at stable temperatures, both in hot and cold weather. Other vendors typically charge you at checkout for a heat pack. We include them when needed free of charge because it's our job to deliver our plants to your door healthy.
Looked a little iffy when it arrived. Very brown & wilted to start. I wasn't sure how it would go. Planted it, & it continued to wilt. Figured it would melt back some before new growth started. Seems to have just melted away. It may bounce back, but doesn't look likely.

Nice growth!
I ordered multiple cultures hoping to split them up and make multiple plants from each. Of the 3 I ordered the Hygrophila was the only one I was afraid to break up into smaller pieces, BUT, it has sprouted tons of leaves and shown significant growth and I could break it up soon! Looks great crammed into the crevasse of a log! Did not regret this one!

Best customer service experience
Had an issue with the first order. Contacted customer service and I swear it was like 3 minutes after I sent my first email that I got shipping confirmation on the replacement. Probably the fastest customer service ever.

Great plant
Plant arrived happy and huge for a small culture cup. I split the plant into 4 decent sized plants. It is doing well 1 week in.

Plant arrived dead but was immediately replaced
I know, five stars when the plant I received was dead? That's because when I contacted Aquarium Co Op a week later, after trying to revive the plant, I contacted them on a Sunday morning and received a response within 15 minutes. I was asked to send a picture of the dead plant and when I did so a new order was immediately placed to replace the plant at no cost to me. That's about the best customer service I've ever seen and I will remain a loyal customer because of it.

Beautiful Plant! Where the red ferns grow :-)
I originally ordered a culture that arrived delayed and was sitting in brown water. I gave it 2 weeks in the tank to see if any recovery was possible but it never recovered. I was promptly given a replacement plant once I notified customer service of the loss and the 2nd cup came beautiful and is already sprouting new buds. Tip-top customer service and an amazing plant selection! Just do yourself a favor and be sure to place your order strategically early in the week so you do not risk any long weekend hold-ups in a distribution center somewhere :-).

Hygrophila Pinnatifida
First order didn't come in good condition, probably experienced too much heat in transit. Customer service was quick to refund. Second order was much better, all cultures transitioned well and have grown a lot of new leaves.

I live in SE Wisco, i ordered on a wednesday and got it by friday! Arrived in perfect condition with no jelly around the roots. Fairly big specimen since it's growth habit is kind of twisty there's a lot more in that little cup than you think. I was able to cut up into decent propogations and saw new roots forming within a week! 3 weeks later and I have about a half inch of new growth! I have a 20L G 9hrs of light and I use only root tabs and a monthly dose of iron. Lots of live plants, no CO2. I planted all of the propagations epiphytically. 👍
