  • Similar Taste and Texture As Live Daphnia
  • Free of Harmful Parasites and Bacteria

Hikari freeze dried daphnia is as close to feeding live daphnia as you can get in dry food form. This food is a great natural source of algae which can be very effective for cleaning out your fishes intestinal tract - especially when treating with meds. Free from any parasites and harmful bacteria, freeze dried daphnia is a great option to have around as a treat or part of your food rotation.

Great food for small fish

I love this food because many small or young fish cannot eat brine shrimp, but they will go right for this! Also, it floats in the water column better than shrimp or worms, and so it lets fish eat more without ending up with decaying food.

Brings Dwarf Chain loaches out

Betta feeds immediately, while they are floating on the top. Once they soften and begin to sink into the water, the loaches appear. Other than newly hatched baby brine shrimp, this is the only food I have fed my nano tank that causes the dwarf chain loaches to come out of hiding to feed.

Great!

Freeze dried food is great for fish who need varied diets! Daphnia is great! I was going to purchase this on amazon but aquarium co-op was cheaper, my fish love it and the hikari brand is one I feed most of my fish. Really good stuff!
