Every item I have ever purchased from Aquarium Co- op has been outstanding
However this pad just didn't work out on my over the back filter. The water had a hard time passing through and I even had to take out two of the 4 black course filters I have in there
I reached out via email and they tried to help me, she explained it was made of very fine material and it might take a few days to really polish the water.
However after a few days no change and it caused my filter water to over flow the intake tube area resulting in cloudy water.
I'm not sure what the microns are in this pad but I ended up switching to a 50 micron pad and the water and flow are back to normal.
Not sure why it doesn't work, but I will continue to purchase other products as needed
Not only are my filters working more efficiently, the water in my tanks is crystal clear! Before the change it would take 4-5 days for the water to clear up after adding crushed coral. Now it took 3 days. I love that I can rinse and reuse, too.
This filter pad is awesome & for the price you can't go wrong! If crystal clear water is what your looking for this is definitely the way to go. It's totally customizable so it can be used in basically any HOB filter on the market. It made a big difference in my tanks & I highly recommend trying this out first before wasting money on other things.
These are great. They clean the glass with one pass and are great to get into the nooks and cranny’s that my scraper can’t get. I cut the pads in half to get longer use out of 1 3 pack

I had a good and clear tank to start with, but added the polishing filter pad. I'm amazed at the appearance of the polishing pad and what it has trapped. There is less loose debris at the back of the tank under the filter media. (I have a Uniquarium.) Glad I tried it.
Just what I needed to clear up some particulate in the water. Easy to cut and fit to my hang on back filter. The active filtering pad is also easy to pull out and squeeze out some beneficial bacteria into a new tank setup to start up the beneficial bacteria.
