  • Unique bronze color
  • Broad leaves with wavy edges
  • Easy to grow

Cryptocoryne undulata Red is a great beginner plant that features long, wavy-edged leaves that are green and reddish-bronze in color. It has a similar appearance to C. wendtii 'Red,' as well as the same easy care requirements.  Because this is a medium-sized crypt which grows relatively slowly, it serves as a great low maintenance midground plant. It will thrive under low to medium light and send out runners as it grows.

LOVE this plant! So easy, looks great.

I've always been a bit wary of crypts, but this one has converted me! It traveled beautifully, was easy to plant, and is thriving in my tank with sand and root tabs. Bonus: my fish love it. The honey gourami and corydora like to hide among the leaves, and the betta likes to use it as a backdrop to show off his fancy finnage.

This has been such a great experience that I ordered 7 more crypts for my betta coccina tank.

10/10 recommend!

Great looking plant

I ordered a couple different types of cryptocoryne on my last order and both came in with great looking roots and healthy leaves. It's been about two weeks now and I have not had ANY melting of plants. I'm very excited to watch these plants grow and fill in some empty tank spaces!

A total mixed bag

I ordered 15 plants for my tank, as well as some hardware. Half the plants, including crypts and anubias, totally died within a week of adding it to my tank. I planted the crypts with a root tab and wedged the anubias between two rocks. They didn't just melt, the roots total rotted away. The ferns and swords, however, are thriving. On top of that, the sponge filters are easy to set up and the test strips and root tabs are wonderful. Maybe I got a bad batch of plants, but I would recommend buying hardware from here and plants from a local shop

Doing well!

I got this plant as part of the plant mystery box. Put it in my new tank I just started and while it’s been a learning curve for me to start a fish tank this plant has done amazing! I planted it with a root tab and even with the various changes in my water parameters as I’m trying to figure out how to get a tank up and running for the first time it only had two leaves melt and the rest are looking fantastic! Definitely recommend as a good beginner plant.

Happy & Healthy w/ Little Melt

Can you find this species slightly cheaper elsewhere? Sure. Will it be the same quality? Probably not. Was so pleased with the plants I received. Good root system, healthy leaves, no algae or snails. Shipped very well during a cold week thanks to great packaging. Since they are grown underwater, these only experienced minor crypt melt adjusting to my conditions.
