  • Clover-like carpeting plant
  • Easily separates into multiple plant starts
  • 100% clean with no algae, duckweed, or snails

Marsilea hirsuta is a relatively easy-to-grow foreground plant that will carpet your aquarium like a field of clovers. The rounded leaves are bright green and may develop one to four lobes, depending on the environment. The plant ranges from 0.75–4 inches (2–10 cm) in height and stays shorter in medium to high lighting, which means minimal trimming is needed. Provide a nutrient-rich substrate (such as aquatic soil or a well-established, non-soil substrate) or plenty of root tabs for optimal growth.

Great Little Foreground Plant

Love this in the foreground of my 20L! Such a nice change in texture

Very nice, just a bit difficult to plant! The roots are very small and it was difficult to get them planted without having to bury some of the leaves as well. This also led to them floating up to the surface if they weren’t properly weighed down or secured, so it’s been an ongoing process. Hopefully they take root and start to flourish soon!

Great Little Plant!

You get a lot of plant in this little cup. Arrived fast and in great condition. I have it spread all around my tank and it's doing really well whether I have it in a bright area or in the shade.

Looks like it will be a great grounscover

Cultures arrived to the west coast in four days. Plants looked healthy. The agar had liquified but I saw no negative effects. I’ve had about 1/3 of it planted for a couple weeks and it looks to be starting to take hold and grow. I just planted the rest today. Between two cups of tissue cultures I got perhaps 8 dozen or more individual plantable sprigs. I would definitely try them again.

It's only been in my tank a week. It hasn't started growing much if at all so not sure about it yet

Marsilea Hirsuta Tissue Culture

I bought this and several other plants for my first attempt at a planted 29 gallon tank. I had never bought a tissue culture plant before but decided to give it a try. There were at least 100 little tiny plants in there, and I glued some to the rocks and planted some in the substrate. The rest I left floating on top. 3 weeks later they are all growing nicely. Definitely recommend.
