Dwarf chain sword or pygmy chain sword is one of the easiest carpeting plants. It grows to about 4 inches tall and has a grassy appearance. It thrives in medium lighting with lots of nutrients in the substrate and will fill in pretty quickly once it gets established.
We Include Heat Packs and Liners Free of Charge
We have a custom-developed algorithm to include heat packs and insulating plant liners as needed, based on the weather forecast from our warehouse to your shipping address. This helps keep plants at stable temperatures, both in hot and cold weather. Other vendors typically charge you at checkout for a heat pack. We include them when needed free of charge because it's our job to deliver our plants to your door healthy.
How We Grow and Store Our Plants
We store all of our plants in aquariums with plenty of light and fertilizer to start converting their leaves. This picture is from our warehouse. Not all vendors store their plants in water; many store them out of water in bags straight from the farms. This is more time without light and doesn't give them a head start in growing underwater leaves.
Sadly the worst plants I've bought yet from aquarium co op.
Bought 7 or 8 dwarf saggitara. Usually the plants I have bought have been really great quality and have been grown emersed. I don't think this was the case for 6 of the ones I bought as they were completely yellowed and melted. The one that did survive really well was completely green and didn't experience any melting or yellowing. So probably was just due to shipping. I did notice that the one plant that did super good have these gray granule things with the roots while all the others did not. So that probably had a lot to do with it.
anyways, super sad. Usually my experience is 5/5, love the stickers they send with you, and the way they ship it with the heat packs and insulated bags. Just for whatever reason, the plants j got were pretty bad when I recieved them.
Planted all the roots of the ones that were completely yellowed and melted, so probably are going to melt completely for a time while they adjust, but hoping they bounce back. The one that arrived super healthy is doing great though!
The pictures below are how they arrived in the mail after getting them ready for planting. Ended up trimming the leaves on the really bad ones that were completely brown.

Awesome little plant
I ordered a couple of these for my 10 gallon Betta tank and MAN, These plants looked so healthy when they arrived. The root system was beautiful and I was able to take the two plants and break them out into FIVE different plantings!!! Two weeks later, they still look amazing and I can't wait for them to start sending offshoots up so I can take some for my 75 gallon tank.

Multiple Plants Ordered - 4/6 Arrived in Great Condition
This was my second order from Aquarium Coop and similar to last time most of the plants arrived in excellent condition. I couldn't quite give 5 stars because the crypt arrived nearly dead and the Valisneria was also in poor condition.
Two days after planting, the crypt was 90% melted and now a couple weeks later there are just a couple tiny roots/leaves barely hanging on. I think it will make a comeback but will take some time.
The Valisneria arrived damaged because the leaves were folded over in the packaging. I had to trim the top 2/3 off that had died but it seems to be surviving now and should hopefully grow.
I'm again pretty happy all around but if I could make one suggestion, taller plants really need a longer bag/box for shipping. The Amazon sword and Valisneria were both folded in half by the time they reached my house. The sword leaves still have creases and large brown dead spots and the Valisneria is basically cut down by 2/3 since the top portion wasn't salvageable.

Excellent
Arrived in perfect packaging the plant looked to be in perfect condition and was easily planted. The Co-Op it one of the only places I can rely on for excellent quality plants that will survive transit and replanting.

not sure about Winter shipments
Plants looked wilted upon arrival even with warming materials included. I live In New England, brought the plants right in but from being on the truck for a few hours they did not look too fresh.. Planted them and I'll see what happens

Nice looking beginner carpet grass
I run a low tech tank but wanted carpet grass up front. When this plant came it started to wilt but sprang back with root tabs and easy green fertilizer and its been a month and a half and what I started with has doubled. It is sending out runners and making more. It's really exciting for me plant wise. Im buying another to put on the other side of the tank in hopes they meet in the middle. I like this plant.
