  • Smaller variety of anubias
  • Easy care and low light requirements
  • 100% clean with no algae, duckweed, or snails

Anubias barteri is one of the most popular species of anubias, so farmers have created a strain called Anubias barteri var. nana that stays smaller and more compact. The vibrant green leaves are oval-shaped with a pointed end, and the plant stays about 2–4 inches (5–10 cm) in height with a rhizome of 4–6 inches (10–15 cm) long. This slow-growing, low light plant can be attached to hardscape by placing a small dab of super glue gel on the roots.

Healthy and doing well

I am starting a new, planted tank and needed a tried and true plant that would establish quickly- Anubias is that plant in my other tanks. I had never used this variety before, but it came very healthy, easy to clean off the medium used to keep it alive, and was easy to separate into smaller bundles. I glued them to some rocks a couple weeks ago and there is already new growth. All the plants I’ve received from Aquarium co-op have been healthy.

Great plants

All my plants are doing great. They tolerated my beginner mistakes like professionals. Lol

Healthy and hanging in there

Usually TC can be very delicate and not acclimate to an aquarium well, but my tank is still cycling and the nanas are doing well so far! They arrived with a few yellow leaves, but after removing them I haven't had any other losses.

Tip: don't glue the rhizome, glue the roots.

The plants look great.

It's nice not having to plant them in the aquarium right away. They come in nice and healthy.

Anubias barteri nana tissue culture

Arrived healthy and a vibrant green. Very easy to prepare for planting, the gel like growing media easily rinses off exposing rhizome and root system. Split into two plants. Could have split into more, but seeing the extensive root system decided on just two enabling me to plant in the substrate because the other plants that were ordered were attached to hardscape with super glue gel. All plants are healthy and green.
