Scarlet temple is a vibrant stem plant that features pink- to red-colored leaves, making it really stand out amongst green aquarium plants. When given high lighting, deeper reds and purple tints can even be seen from this plant. It does well as a midground to background plant as it can be trimmed short or grown out a bit taller.
Gorgeous Fuchsia Color
This eye-catching stem plant is highly sought after because of its deep, reddish-pink coloration. It thrives the best in a high tech planted tank with stronger lighting, CO2 gas, and Easy Green fertilizer. Once it gets tall enough, prune off the tops and replant them for easy propagation.
Plant Transition
Most aquatic plants are grown out of water at the farms. At our warehouse, we start the plant's transition so they can begin growing underwater leaves for you. You can speed up this conversion process at home by floating the stem plant at the surface until it grows new leaves and roots. It's your choice if you want to cut off the fading, older leaves or leave them.
How We Grow and Store Our Plants
We store all of our plants in aquariums with plenty of light and fertilizer to start converting their leaves. This picture is from our warehouse. Not all vendors store their plants in water; many store them out of water in bags straight from the farms. This is more time without light and doesn't give them a head start in growing underwater leaves.
We Include Heat Packs and Liners Free of Charge
We have a custom-developed algorithm to include heat packs and insulating plant liners as needed, based on the weather forecast from our warehouse to your shipping address. This helps keep plants at stable temperatures, both in hot and cold weather. Other vendors typically charge you at checkout for a heat pack. We include them when needed free of charge because it's our job to deliver our plants to your door healthy.
Plant arrived healthy and is thriving in my tank. I love the color it adds to the tank.

not red, HOT pink
my package was lost in the mail for several days in 110 degree heat. once i got my hands on it, the plant inside the insulated bag was boiling hot. i thought it was doomed. the bright, BRIGHT pink color shocked me and i thought it was done for. popped it in the tank anyway and nope, thats just its natural shade. better than i had imagined.

Beautiful & healthy scarlet temple!
I’ve bought this plant before from aquarium co-op but my pleco decided to redecorate my aquarium & ripped up most of my plants, unfortunately… i luckily had a friend w/a larger tank who took him in & I moved my aquarium from the bedroom to the living room, so I figured it was the perfect time to rescape it. It’s a work in progress, but I knew I needed this plant in my tank again. There’s some melting (normal) but not much & the stems are very healthy. I’m going to let it grow to the top & start planting the cuttings as well! They’ve grown already & it’s only been a week- I gave them plenty of aquarium co-op root tabs so they’re happy & so am I
