  • Treats Internal Parasites
  • Plant Safe
  • Invertebrate safe

We recommend using Paracleanse to treat internal tapeworms, a problem that nearly all freshwater fish have when purchasing from a pet store. We use this on every fish we receive in our store and in my personal fish room. It has proven to be safe for even scaleless fish, snails, shrimp, fish fry, and plants. We recommend using an airstone in the aquarium when treating with Paracleanse.

Commonly used to treat:
— Gill and skin flukes (Gyrodactylus)
— Swollen abdomen
— Wasting disease
— "Hole in the head" disease
— Internal tapeworms

Probably saved my little guy

I recommend having this on hand for mysterious illness.

I'd bought three long-fin leopard danios at a big box store. One died within a week, the other two were hanging on. They were obviously not as vigorous as three long-fin leopard danios I'd bought from a different source. One wasn't eating, and the other developed a severely crooked spine- not only humpbacked, but crooked along the dorsal plane as well (photo!) Both kept apart from the other fish in the tank.

I'd treated the entire tank with Expel-P in their food, but the two sickly fish stayed sickly. So I moved them to a hospital tank and treated them with Paracleanse following ACO instructions. The one that had stopped eating died during treatment, but the one with the crooked spine has made an excellent recovery. It still has the hunchback, but it no longer has the sever zig-zag seen from above. It is eating well and jostling with the others!

So, who really knows? Fish disease is not easy to diagnose for certain, but I think it is worth it to keep this on hand.

Lost most of my fish

Followed the directions to a "T", twice. One time with sick fish in a hospital tank, 100% mortality within 12 hours. Used to another time in my display tank, did not save any of the sick fish and lost all but 3 of the fish that weren't displaying symptoms. Maybe I have a bad batch?

Good stuff

Works well, doesn't appear to do any harm at all to scaleless fish or neocaridina shrimp. I don't have an air stone, but lowering the tank water level 2-3 inches seems to have a similar effect with no financial investment.

Can this be used with shrimp and crayfish?

Just wondering if I can use this in my community live planted guppy tank with shrimp and a crayfish in it?
