The Apistogramma cave is a small terracotta cave with a hole on one side. They are designed for spawning Apistogramma species as well as other dwarf cichlids. Kuhli loaches, shrimp, small plecos and more will also find valuable shelter in this cave.
Perfect Size for Cave Spawners
Apistogramma, kribensis, and many types of cave spawners love laying their eggs in these apisto caves. Depending on how many breeding pairs you have, you can buy several to place in various corners of the aquarium to make sure everyone gets their own space.
Nice Hiding Spot
Kuhli loaches, dwarf shrimp, corydoras, smaller plecos, and even eels have been known to seek shelter in these apisto caves. Just make sure they are small or flexible enough that they won't get stuck inside.
I like it but it's small I'm worried when my apisto grows up he won't fit.

For smaller species
It is smaller than I expected. I don’t imagine larger species would utilize it. That being said it’s well made, the size makes it easy to tuck places many other species will use it as well. Plecos, corys, panda garra, and shrimp also use it in my tank.

Everything loves it
It's the perfect size for so many things. My vampire shrimp use it to molt and get privacy, my kuhlis shove themselves in there with them regardless, and the material matches well with any setup.

Little Cave
I didn't read the deminsions. It's smaller than I thought, but fits perfectly in my 10 gallon. I have baby Cory's and they are so cute resting in this little home. You could dress it up a bit with some moss or get two or three and stack them. I'm happy with all my Aquarium Co-op purchases.

This is a great little cave at a good price. I glued moss all over the top and popped it in the tank. It’s all ready for when I get a pair of Apistogrammas. In the meantime I’ve seen shrimp checking it out.
