Great video instructions

After I watched the video and was able to set it up properly, the feeder worked great. I took off one star off because the instructions that come with it are difficult to understand. I strongly recommend the instruction video on the website which is excellent.

Great product; use superglue if using thicker rimmed tank

Love how easy to use it is and it is pretty water resistant by the way. However if you have a thicker rimmed tank like the Petco 75 gallon tank I highly recommend using super glue, the small lip on the rim makes this thing impossible to fit. After seven months of me having it on, it somehow fell into my tank while I was away and I came home to a dead community tank. I like this product way too much though because it gets my fish used to a spot on feeding time so I ended up super gluing it to the rim above the small lip. It is firm and won’t fall in now, & you simply pop it off from the rotating part when it comes to charging or refilling it with food. And surprisingly the water didn’t seem to affect it, it works perfectly fine till this date. On the bright side it got me away from my starter tank & gave me the opportunity to order a school of Celestial Pearl Danios! They should be coming in this week, super soaked to start a new community with the knowledge I have now thanks to the Co-Op Team!

More Peace of Mind

I bought this kind of at the last minute because I'm raising fry. I filled it with the Easy Fry Food, using tape to limit how much food comes out. And this product is perfect for making sure they get fed while I'm at work.

The instructions could be improved, maybe just a short "you have to go through setting the current time each time you program feeds!"

The only other improvement I would make is adding a "Skip Next Scheduled Feed" function, for when I give them something else to eat even though a scheduled feed is coming up. Although...maybe it already has this, I'll take another look at the instructions!

Best Auto feeder

I’ve had this on my South American Cichlid tank for 2 years now. I have it set so it feeds just enough food so my fish don’t starve just in case I forget to feed my fish one day.

Easy to use

As someone with the brain of a goldfish, this helps me to not forget to feed. It was also pretty easy to set up and it's very quiet.

It works but could use improvement

I set a couple of these up on aquariums with lids. The way they rotate means the food doesn’t get dropped in a small area, but it drops some on the outer diameter of the cylinder as it spins. I had to make a shroud to catch and direct the food to a smaller opening.

The cylinder also spills out the back side if you’re not careful.

I had to use tape to restrict the opening so it wouldn’t put too much food out.

The height isn’t ideal as it sits close to the water unless you mount it on something else.

It would be great if there was an app to feed manually over the internet, or a way to use a timer to manually feed.

The schedule method works okay so far and wasn’t too hard to set up once I understood how it worked.

I do like that you can choose to feed multiple times a day.

It is also battery powered which is great if the power goes out.

Aquarium Co-Op Auto Feeder

They work great I have four setup while I am away for 6 months at a time. My son refills them once a week haven’t had any problems in the 2 years I have used them. I highly recommend them.

Extremely Reliable and Convenient Feeder

This feeder is very easy to setup and reliable. The drum is quite large so you can either feed a lot often or a small amount for a long time.

Best Price-for-Value Auto-Feeder

I tested this product on one fish tank initially, and it worked so well that I bought two more for my other tanks. To me, the features that made it excellent to use is the adjustability of the feeding times and battery life. As stated in the product review, and in multiple YouTube videos, is that some adjustments may need to be made to the opening (e.g., adding tape) to better control some fish foods. I have had trouble dialing in the opening gate and tape fish with flake food. Particularly larger mixed-sized flakes where the inconsistency of the food size itself is the issue.
I currently use the Magic Small Fish Feed and Community Pellets in this feeder and have noticed a much easier time in dialing in the feeding amount. I would love to see an Aquarium Co-op opening replacement specifically for these products to better tune the feeding amount without having to use tape.
