If you have rooted plants in your aquarium, Easy Root Tabs are a great option to give your plants even more nutrients than substrate and fish waste alone. They're packed with mineralized top soil containing red clay and many other essential minerals plants need to thrive. Unlike many other aquarium root tabs out there, Easy Root Tabs do not contain ammonia-based ingredients and will not cause harmful effects if the contents of the capsule are released into the water column.

Hungry Root Feeders

Stronger Roots

When you use root tabs, this encourages the plant to grow stronger and more plentiful root structures. This helps prevent the plant from getting accidentally uprooted by Corydoras and other fish that dig for food.

Root Tab Placement

When first planting, place root tabs directly under the plant. Each month you can expand outwards with the root tabs as the roots will continue to stretch out through the substrate. Large plants often need several root tabs — 1 in the center and a few in a circle around the plant.

Usable in all Substrates

All substrates can use root tabs. The goal is to have a rich-nutrient substrate that consists of a mix of fish poo and nutrients. Root tabs bring the essential nutrients that can be missing from your fish food. Enriched aqua soils start out as a rich nutrient substrate, but over time the nutrients are consumed and need to be replaced or re-mineralized with root tabs.

Fish, Shrimp, and Snail Safe

Easy Root Tabs are safe for fish, shrimp, and snails. They are best planted at least an inch below the surface of the substrate.

Perfect fertilizer for Amazon Sword Plants

Easy Root Tabs are the only fertilizer I use from now one for my Amazon Swords. I recently strayed away and used a competitor fertilizer and regret the decision. Thankfully my swords are bouncing back with Easy Root Tabs.

Definitely Recommend

It has only been a week since I put the root tabs into my substrate spaced out as the directions read. With that done a one dose of the liquid fertilizer as well so I’m not sure which is making my plants better all I know is they apear to be a bit more vibrant in a short amount of time.
I definitely recommend this to anyone needing to feed your aquarium plants just make sure you have some aquarium plant tools to assist with placing the root tabs into the substrate.

So glad I found a great root tab right from the get go

I am brand new to fishkeeping. In doing my research of reviews, these root tabs kept being talked about highly. I am really happy to have found these right from the beginning. My plants are really taking off in growth.
You DO need to poke a pin hole in them and squeeze before planting though. I didn't at first and they popped up. But once I found that tip, they work great!

Plants love these!

I set up a planted tank a month ago and use Easy root tabs. All my stem plants are doing phenomenal! I place a root tab about 2" away from the plant on either side and add more when needed.

So far I have new growth on all my plants and they look very healthy. My fish keep swimming through the natural vegetation and its fun watch. I highly recommend Easy root tabs.
