  • Thin, grass-like blades
  • Carpeting plant
  • Medium to high lighting

Dwarf hairgrass is a moderately easy plant to grow. Many aquarists use dwarf hairgrass to achieve a lawn type of effect because of its thin, grass-like leaves, though this requires medium to high lighting. Dwarf hairgrass propagates itself by sending out runner plants. If left to grow, it will form a lush carpet in your aquarium, making it a popular choice in the hobby.

Lots of plants

This Dwarf hair grass came with alot of established plants. Was able to get a very densely panted 6 gallon that is already starting to send out runners to carpet fully. (1 week with the plants, high light, no co2)

Dwarf Hairgrass

I needed something beautiful to add to my aquarium. My son in law, Stephen Phillips, brags about what an awesome company you are plus I have ordered things in the past from you before Your plants have made my aquarium beautiful.

Nice clump, doing pretty well

I’m starting up a new tank with a sand substrate, with an assortment of plants, both planted and attached to driftwood. Many of the other plants (not from Aquarium Co-op) have melted, but the hairgrass is holding its own pretty well. I have had some issues keeping it planted, and the rock wool is a bit tricky to remove, but overall I’m really happy with it. Nice size for the price and it arrived quickly and in great condition.

Aquarium Co-op plant purchases

Extremely happy with my plants...great quality, well packaged and quick delivery...I have purchased from 2 other on line suppliers and had good results, however these plants have been superb..the hair grass portions were far more than I expected. Also have purchased other plant growth products and have been very happy. Co-Op is my first choice going forward.
