Tiger lotus is just a beautiful plant with reddish-green to deep red leaves that have darker spots that are often purplish in color. When given medium light and plenty of nutrients, this plant will thrive. As it grows, tiger lotus plants will display its large leaves below the surface of the water while simultaneously sending lily pads up to reach the surface. It does well as a midground to background plant, but because it is so impactful, it can make a great standalone plant as well.

Arrived without any death leaves . I usually cut the bottom of the pot and put it upside down for a few weeks so it can take root undisturbed by my geophagus
The tiger lotus bulb i got really has flourished, it's been great to watch the progress!
I bought two of these, one was the red variety, the other is a green/red variegated one. Both had nice leaves with roots so I separated them from the bulb, planted the roots and placed the bulbs elsewhere in the tank. This is one of my favorite plants to propogate.
Plants are carefully packaged and always arrive in healthy condition.

This plant is delicate and colorful
So far so good. Item came in with one leaf and my goldfish ate it. I moved them to my tank with just snails and now have 3 leafs coming up within a week.
Came packaged very well ( we were highly impressed by that alone) it has been doing wonderful in our tank. And we will definitely purchase more plants and products from Aquarium Co-op in the future.
I had some issues with bulbs here, a couple years ago (the seller handled my issue impeccably) but decided to give them another try. I really wanted a tiger lotus. This one came already rooting and with 3 leaves popped, so for sure it is not a dud. I put it in my 29g for my betta, and it's already starting to perk up and shoot one new leaf. I'm very happy with my purchase! Thank you Aquarium Co-op for addressing the bulb problems of the past, it's so appreciated when a business is constantly listening to their customer, and improving our experience.
