Pearl weed is a bright green plant with delicate stems and small, oblong leaves. While it looks similar to baby tears, its leaves are more elongated and less circular in shape. It thrives under medium to high light conditions and provides excellent cover for small fish and shrimp. It can be kept as a midground plant if trimmed short or as a background plant if allowed to grow out.

I was surprised at how delicate this plant was (thin stem and small leaves), but it didn't act delicate at all. What I mean is that it arrived very healthy and didn't experience any melting or dying in the tank. It isn't growing as fast as I'd like and isn't filling in as well as I expected, but that isn't the fault of Aquarium Co-Op. I'd buy this plant again in a heartbeat.
The pearl weed and other plants came in beautiful, and healthy with great packaging!

Bought 2. Both arrived healthy, well packed and are doing great! Have already made other purchases and will continue to do so.
Pearl weed is gorgeous and healthy! Shipped quickly to TX in mid 90 degree weather with no melting or dead bits.
The first batch I had gotten was a lil crazy, but with help from them the second was so so good. They also gave me quite a bit of it too!
Sorry to say the pearl weed has gone to complete meltdown. It has been a while but it shows no sign of coming back. It is complete mush. This is the second time I tried this plant and although it is listed as one of the easiest to keep, it never seems to make it whether I keep it in the pot, let it float free or plant it in the substrate.
I will start out by saying aquarium coop’s customers service is top notch. The first pearl weed i received was in rough shape and did not survive. Candi with customer service promptly shipped out a replacement which arrived in much better shape. I added root tabs to the moss and left it in the pot but it still melted away and died with in a couple weeks. All my other plants are thriving from Aquarium coop so not sure whats going on but I had a tough time with this plant unfortunately.
Pearl Weed
I was incredibly excited to start growing plants again for the first time in 10 years. I looked at reviews and thought that I would at least receive some sort of viable plants. However, the pearl weed, and other plants I received arrived in awful condition and was immediately disappointed in how there was simply only melted mess of a plants left.
I did try to plant what was there. Used root tabs and easy green as instructed. I’ve been waiting to see if they would rebound, however, after a few weeks the pearl weed is just not going to work.
Very disappointed in the pearl weed and just the condition of all the plants I received in the order. Won’t be ordering from here again.
