To give you peace of mind, the Aquarium Co-Op air pump utilizes a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that automatically switches to battery use if it loses power. It can be run continuously for approximately 20 hours on a single charge and can run in Power Save mode (where the air cycles between 15 seconds on and 15 seconds off to conserve battery) for 40 hours or more. Note: the printed manual has not been updated yet and incorrectly states that the battery runs for 8 and 16 hours.

This is a great, quiet product for your fish tanks. While personally use this product sparingly since I have a larger fish room which requires a larger air pump. However, I have used this product for smaller fry tanks and as an air pump for summer tubs outside (housed inside a waterproof box). I found this product to be quiet and works as expected. I am especially impressed with the battery backup features and Power Save mode (cycles on and off every 15 seconds). These are a great insurance policy in case of a power outage! Highly recommend!
The single outlet air pump is able to pump air into my 29 gallon from under the aquarium on full blast. The total length is about 48 inches of airline that I used to get a bioreactor going (an Aquaneat filled with media rather sponge).
Impressed with its power for its size
This pump is powerful enough to run two large filters, with minimal noise. You can’t hear the pump run over the bubbles in the tank.
I purchased two of these dual pumps. I attached a breeder box with Guppy fry to one end, and connected a bubbler in the main tank to the other. The pump works wonderfully for the fry box, providing great performance. However, on the bubbler side, the water movement is not as strong as I hoped. While it does work, it doesn’t generate enough flow to make me confident it would keep the fish alive if there was a power outage. Overall, I expected a bit more power from this pump. While I still think it’s a solid product in theory, it didn’t quite meet my expectations. In hindsight, I might have been better off with two single pumps.
I really really really wanted to like this product! My only complaint is that the flow is weak. Overall it’s a good product, just not quite there yet.
I've been looking for something like this for a long time. When I saw that Aquarium Co-Op sells them, I grabbed one right away. Works wonderful!! Fast shipping too! Highly recommended. I have been very satisfied with ALL of my purchases from this store.
This is a great product. Hooked up a sponge filter and an airstone, which are working great in my 40 gallon freshwater tank. Easy to set up and use.
I’ll admit it’s not the quietest air pump I’ve ever had, but I love the battery backup feature. Recently purchased for another setup (not done yet) but got to use it today with a several hour power outage to help temporarily get air to another tank. Great little pump.
I love these air pumps! They really do work in deep tanks, even on the lowest setting. I've only had 1 opportunity to test the battery run time. The power was off for at least 5 hours. I had left it on the highest setting, and it was still running strong
