Making shrimpers like crazy

my shrimp love these. I like that its a stick so I can watch the progress of their eating if I want to. I actually don't know if it leaves any debris behind but I haven't been able to notice it. I even had my king betta accidently eat a whole stick and he seemed happy?

I have not really noticed my pleco eating it which is a bummer but the snails also go after it. I dont think it has enough supplement to help with their shells though.

One jar has lasted me over a year so I am just hoping it doesnt go bad

Xtreme Shrimpee

I just tried this for the first time, seems like the shrimp really like it. It does hold its shape for long time. I make sure to put the food in at dark, because the fish seem to like it as well . I’m very happy with it.

Didn't work as well as I initially thought.

I used these as a base food for my shrimp for several months and the shrimp did perfectly fine with it. That being said after trying other foods I now understand how this food is really troublesome for shrimp.

Firstly, the ingredients list is extremely unclear what is in the food and where it comes from. I can only imagine it is created by using scraps from other food recipes, but I have no way to confirm this. That being said, it is not the best food for shrimp, nutritionally speaking. It works fine, but it's just got some weird ingredients in there. Long term, overall health, I don't recommend this food for that reason alone.

Now, my biggest complaint about this food is that it's so hard and dense that it takes far too long, longer than any other food I've used, for fish or shrimp to eat this food. Even amano shrimp really struggle with this food because it's difficult to break down or break apart. The food ended up sitting in the dish more often than not and that led to some deaths in my tank in the end. I've since switched foods and had a lot better success with the shrimp colony.

Just not into it

My shrimp are not really taking to this food. I have two different shrimp tanks and they barely touch it in both tanks. They love the Hikari brand of foods and usually gobble it up quickly, with these I end up scooping it out of the tank.

Container intact. No broken seal. Food smelled ok, not moldy or visibly spoiled.
My shrimp eat them. Even my bottom dwellers. So, uh 5 out of 5?
