Willow hygro (or hygro willow) has long, slender leaves that look like a willow tree and elegantly sway in the current. As a stem plant, it loves stronger lighting and will grow quickly if given plenty of nutrients. Its tall, bushy appearance is perfect for filling up the background of your planted aquarium, and it can be easily propagated to other tanks.

This Willow Hygro is one plant that so far accepts my low tech aquarium, and water conditions. I'm dealing with high nitrates. I've been reading up on 50% water changes and i have phosphate pads. Surprisingly the Pogostemon Stellatus 'Octopus' is doing well too. And, the Red Dwarf Lily Bulb. All the plants i've ordered arrived well packaged and pretty fast considering i'm on the west coast. Once i get the nitrates down i'll be ordering more. Thanks Aquarium Co-Op!!

This plant arrived in great condition. So far it is growing very nicely in three of my tanks, with a little help from Easy Green.
The hygro plant is doing very well in my tank!! It arrived a bit shaken from a UPS fail but recovered very quickly. As a stem plant it is growing fast and my shrimp and Otos love the big leaves.

My willow hygro plant arrived quickly and looking beautiful! Within in a few days it started growing.I think it is going to be a wonderful background plant for my 75 gallon planted tank.

Willow hygro, how high can you grow?
Plants arrived in pretty good shape. Some leaves were detached but for the most part they are in acceptable condition.
