Stop spending hours scrubbing algae off the sides of your tank and use an algae scrubber sponge instead. Add just a little bit of elbow grease, and algae, hard water stains, and dirt won't stand a chance. This sponge is small but mighty — perfect for touch-ups and touch cleaning at our store and warehouse. You will receive 3 algae scrubbers in each pack.
Make Tank Maintenance Easier
Whether you are doing thorough tank maintenance or a little spot cleaning, the Aquarium Co-Op algae scrubber is the perfect tool to speed up the process. Use it to quickly remove algae and hard water stains so that you have a crystal clear view.
Free of Fragrance and Chemicals
They're made of non-toxic melamine foam and are completely safe for fish, shrimp, snails, and plants. You can feel confident when putting our scrubbers in your tanks, knowing that there are no added chemicals or scents that would harm your aquatic pets. We do recommend using just 1 algae scrubber per tank to avoid any cross contamination.
Works in Hard-to-Reach Spots
Our algae scrubbers are great for cleaning tight spots and corners that traditional algae scrapers with a handle can't reach. They're also gentle enough to clean algae off anubias and java fern leaves.
Safe for Glass and Acrylic
Tough on algae but gentle with glass or acrylic aquariums! Your tank walls are safe from damage with our algae scrubbers. To prevent scratches, be careful of picking up any sand or fine substrate. Wipe the walls near the ground in a downward motion, and once you reach the bottom, remove any sand on the scrubber.
I had lots of hard algae on a very large Anubias. I tried hydrogen peroxide. I tried the disposable wash clothes that I use on the aquarium glass. I even rubbed the leaves with an abrasive scrub daddy sponge. All I managed to do was rip up a few leaves, but the algae had not budged. One light pass wiping with this sponge and the algae was on the sponge and the leaf was clean! Wow!

Works fine!
I'm still using the first of the three pack. It removes algae from the aquarium glass easily enough. I guess I dinged it one star because it tore easily- of course, now that I realize it can get torn, I'm a bit more careful when squeezing it out. It holds onto water- but somehow it requires less elbow-grease than my old nylon scrubber

Great for tough to get spots
Parts of the aquarium that are less than straight are cleaned much easier with the pad when compared to other tools. Corners and edges are easy to clean without damaging silicone or glass.

Utilitarian
Wasn't sure whether these would make life easier or not, but I gotta tell you that, with a little elbow grease tossed into the equation, they really do a bang up job!
