Scarlet temple is a vibrant stem plant that features pink- to red-colored leaves, making it really stand out amongst green aquarium plants. When given high lighting, deeper reds and purple tints can even be seen from this plant. It does well as a midground to background plant as it can be trimmed short or grown out a bit taller.

Even though there was an unforeseeable shipping delay, causing it to take seven total days (usually I get my product in 2-3 days), my large order of plants arrived healthy as could be. As the weather was below 28°F, I was very concerned they would be DOA. The customer service team responded quickly, effectively, and reassuringly to my multiple emails of panic when I realized there was a freeze coming later in the week right after I placed my order.
Instead of a plant I received four little branches with no roots. They simply deteriorated when planted.
Plant arrived in great shape. My tank set up has good lighting and CO2 and the plant is responding to its new surroundings.
I love the Scarlet Temple plant and have had no problems with the plant itself. But...after a few weeks I need to change review due to the fact I have noticed my Peppered Cory Catfish love it too! They are munching on it! I did have small roots coming out on it up and down the stem, not anymore! Then I saw my younger Cories munching on it. So beware if you order this plant. lol
I recently added a Scarlet Temple to my tank, and it’s doing well overall. While a few leaves did start to melt initially, I think it’s just adjusting to my water parameters. I’ve just set up a CO2 system, so I’m hopeful that the plant will thrive and show even better growth with time. So far, it’s a great addition, and I look forward to watching it flourish!
I purchased this plant because I wanted a little more color in my aquarium. I have had very little melt. It has roots coming out like crazy! I did put a Root Tab down when I planted it but my Peppered Cory Catfish decided they wanted to eat it by up rooting the tab! lol...Never phased the plant. It just took off like crazy. I am using Easy Green so that is most likely helping it grow. Get this plant, you will not be disappointed! It is beautiful.
I love the scarlet temple. It gives that color along the black backdrop. It is doing well and it arrived very healthy and packaged well.
Still waiting for new growth, been a month now. Plant is still alive and giving it time. Color is nice contrast to the green .
