  • Soft, bushy stem plant
  • Light green, thin leaves
  • Easy care with medium light

Mayca fluviatilis is a soft, bushy stem plant with thin leaves that are a light green in color, and its fine texture contrasts nicely against larger-leaved plants. Because of its unique, moss-like appearance, it is commonly referred to as the "stream bogmoss."  This easy-to-grow plant does well in medium lighting or higher. Once established, it will grow quickly and provide a lush hiding spot for fish and shrimp.

Great for a Newbie

I planted two units of these a month ago and they are growing splendidly, double their original height. My kuhli loaches love to keep digging some of these up, but they survive replanting with no damage. Great plant for my little tank.

I have yet to be disappointed

I just recently graduated from a 20g to a 75g tank and, needless to say, I needed more plants. I purchased 3 of these little suckers and have been very pleased with them so far. They arrived very secure, green and strong. They are small, I will tell you that, but they are worth it since they grow to a decent height. I divided mine into 6 groups and used them to line the back of the aquarium. They are adjusting to the water wonderfully and don’t have any “transplant shock”. Oh, did I say that they had NO HITCHHIKERS?!?! NONE. I had them quarantined for over a week and there were no snails, detritus, limpets, nothing. Aquarium Co-Op has a great reputation and for good reason. They know what they’re doing and they actually care about their products. The photo hasn't been edited in any way and this is about a week after transplant.

John's review Mayaca Fluviatilis b

Plant arrived in a mystery box. Plant was in good condition. I separated the plant into individual plantlets using them as a border along a slate ridge. Less than a week later, I was getting new growth. Very pleased with this plant.

Beautiful plant

Got a very nice chunk of stems that barely so much as shed some needle leaves after putting in my tank. Beautiful green vs some other varieties of this plant!

It's ok I guess

I was expecting something a little more established. A few of the small stems floated out of the bunch and now float.

Great plant.

It's starting to take off now but it's turned a real light color.
