Cryptocoryne lucens grows to about 3 inches typically. It makes a great foreground to midground plant due to its smaller size. This crypt plant does well under low light and grows fairly slowly. It will send out runners as it grows and will eventually form a dense, bushy carpet of narrow, bright green leaves even without high light. However, it takes quite a bit of time, so for a faster carpet effect, use multiple pots of Cryptocoryne lucens.

I was looking for something for the foreground of my 15 gallon tank but not anything that would take over and cover the whole bottom. This seems to fill the bill so far. I did manage to split it in 2. Going on 2 weeks and they look good. I'll be shopping with you again!

This plant doesn’t work well with low-medium light. My plants didn’t last long.
This crypt had exactly 4 leaves when I opened it up. And it was three different plants. So two plants with one leaf each and one plant with two leaves. It was alive, but not what I’ve come to expect from Aq Co-Op.
I really like the visual presentation this crypt makes. However I did have about 50% wilt and it’s not coming back as strong or as fast as other crypts I have grown. Not necessarily a negative but just something to be aware of.
Cryptocoryne Lucens
I wanted to start a basic aquascape at home. The information available on Aquarium Coop's site indicated this would be a good plant for my set up, and so far it's doing great. The plant arrived quickly and in great shape. I would definitely order from them again!
These are a new crypt that I'm trying out. They're larger than I anticipated them being, very excited to have some background crypts in my 40b! Came in healthy and full. Also shipped very quick despite being a long way from the Kentucky warehouse now. Thanks Coop!
Fun name to say and it came to me like it was happy to see me. Fed it 2 fat ACO root tabs and stuffed it in the gravel. This is my 2nd favorite plant. Can’t wait for it to grow up big and strong
